Artist Chris Adams took up an interest in tattooing while serving in the U.S. Army. He has since then been tattooing Professionally going on 10 years. Chris started his tattoo career at TriStar Tattoo on Paint Rock Rd back in 2010 and tattooed there until 2013. In November of 2014, he and his Wife Kayla decided to take a leap forward and start their own shop, Lucky-Hand Tattoos on College Hills BLVD. Chris specializes in Fine Line Black & Grey, Dot-Work, Ornamental, Geometric, & Decorative Tattoos. Chris is a Full-Time student at Angelo State University, where he is in the process of receiving his Bachelors in Fine Arts. In his limited spare time you can find him and his family burning through rounds of ammo at Angelo Gun Club or hiking/camping throughout Texas Hill Country for some R&R. Artist Cody Bearden started out as Lucky-Hand Shop Apprentice back in 2014. 6 years later he is now a Full-Time Artist who specializes in Traditional, Black-work, Black & Grey, and Neo-Traditional style tattooing. Piercer Jen has been piercing for over 20 years! She was born in Germany, and through the military has lived in Ft. Meade, Maryland, Monterrey, CA, Taipei, Taiwan, and then lastly moved here to good ole’ San Angelo. She specializes in small inner ear piercings due to her dainty hands that can reach teeny tiny crevices. She can do many and all piercings but nostril and navel piercings are her fave.

Kayla Adams is our Shop Manager & Social Media Marketing Manager. She’s in charge of Social Media Posts, FAQ, Email/Correspondence, as well as other executive duties. She is of Hufflepuff House, and when not working or entertaining as Shop DJ you can find her bike riding with her 3 Heathen children, reading a good book, or cuddling up on the couch with Artist Chris Adams 😉

Jill Murray is the newest member of our Lucky-Hand Team. She joins us as Artist Chris Adams’ Tattoo Apprentice. Jill graduated in 2020 from Angelo State University with her Bachelor’s in Fine Arts. Her painting skills specialize in landscapes, realistic portraits, and large-scale murals. Jill has contributed many large-scale projects to San Angelo’s downtown Paintbrush Alley as well as Pop-Art Gallery on Twohig St. Jill was introduced to the tattoo world by fellow ASU classmate Chris Adams. The idea of having her own original art on another person’s body for life was very intriguing to her. When she needs a break from the art world you can find her slaying on Destiny & Skyrim or building new maps on Minecraft. I can help you with this 🙂 Just shoot Artist Chris a Text Message going over what you just told me and he can take a look at his schedule and make you an appointment to come in and speak with him about this piece. But keep in mind, Artist Chris is off every Tuesday & Wednesday. Our shop is open 7 days a week, however we give each artist 2 days off. Artist Chris’ days off are Tuesday & Wednesday 🙂 He has 3 small kiddos so he enjoys those days with his family.
